Up in the mountains, the resort’s restaurants are scattered along the pistes and trails, easily accessible both on skis and on foot. On the menu, you’ll find hearty dishes showcasing mountain specialties, as well as more refined options for a change of pace.

Early afternoon: laughter and bonding on the fun slopes

The afternoon is all about laughter and good cheer on the fun slopes of Alpe d’Huez.

Start your adventure at Marcel’s Farm, a 100% playful slope designed for everyone’s enjoyment. With its colourful attractions and modules, it offers genuine moments of sharing with family or friends.

Next, head to Chez Roger: a green run like no other, transformed into a giant boarder. Fun and accessible, it encourages everyone to ski together.

Keep the fun going by visiting Auris‑en‑Oisans and the Jacques the Woodcutter slope. Accessed via the Alpe’Auris chairlift, this ride adds a touch of adrenaline to the experience with its steep slope, impressing as much as it delights.

Back in Alpe d’Huez: thrilling moments on the Mountain Kart!

During the Christmas week, Mondays and Thursdays offer a special opportunity to make the most of the day. Extended opening hours mean the slopes stay open until 7:30 pm, allowing you to experience the Roger run in a whole new way. It’s a unique way to extend the day and add a touch of fun and magic to the resort!

It’s also the perfect time to enjoy the brand‑new Sunset 2700 m experience. Meet at 4:45 pm at the Pic Blanc gondola, where our professional teams will accompany you from start to finish. A unique descent awaits, bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, in a magical, timeless atmosphere.

End of the day: a stroll along the Avenue des Jeux

As dusk falls, the atmosphere transforms. Head to the Avenue des Jeux for a friendly stroll through the heart of the resort. Illuminated shop windows, Christmas decorations, and lively surroundings immerse visitors in a magical festive ambiance.

It’s also the perfect opportunity to explore the resort’s shops, or for late planners, to complete any last-minute Christmas shopping. Between delicious treats, warm encounters, and background music, the walk becomes a true moment of sharing.

The magic continues in the evening with the festivities on the Signal slope. From 6 pm on 24th December, fireworks, entertainment, and a festive atmosphere delight both young and old.

Christmas celebrations also feature the figure skating gala, an elegant and poetic show, perfect for keeping the festive spirit alive.

To end the day on a high note, nothing beats enjoying a traditional fondue with the family by the fire—a shared moment while waiting for Santa Claus to arrive…

On 25th December, Santa Claus will be there for a photo session open to all. Children can meet him and capture this magical moment with a keepsake photo.
