SATA Group has been committed for many years to reducing its energy impact in its operations. The current crisis has prompted us to accelerate our actions in reducing our energy consumption.

As part of the energy saving measures required by the government as of this winter season, SATA Group has proposed different energy saving scenarios to the delegating municipalities.

Several proactive options were presented and the municipal councils were unanimous in their validation. Among them, SATA group proposed a comprehensive energy savings strategy combining initiatives regarding buildings, grooming machines, ski lifts and slope management.

These measures, combined with a one-week early closure of the Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes ski areas, will enable us to achieve the fixed target of 10% in energy savings.

As a result, the opening dates of the ski areas managed by SATA Group are the following :

Alpe d’Huez : 3 December 2022 to 16 April 2023

Les Deux Alpes: 3 December 2022 to 23 April 2023

La Grave’s opening dates remain unchanged: 17 December 2022 to 1 May 2023.

The adjustment of the ski areas’ opening dates will enable us to maintain the same opening hours as last winter for the entire season as well as provide an equivalent product and service quality and a stable ski pass price.

Beyond this current crisis, SATA Group is fully aware of the challenges and importance of sustainable development and takes its responsibilities in favour of the environment for the long term.

We look forward to welcoming you on our slopes starting next week and to sharing this new 2022/2023 winter season with you !

Regards,

Fabrice Boutet Director General
