16 km from high-altitude terrain to the wild landscapes of the Sarenne gorges.

The adventure begins at Pic Blanc, at 3,330 m. From the very first turns, La Sarenne reveals its character: a demanding high-mountain opening section followed by a long descent that gradually changes with the terrain.

With 16 km of piste and 1,820 m of vertical drop, La Sarenne is about much more than length. It is a true journey through the Alpe d’Huez ski area, where the terrain, altitude and scenery evolve throughout the descent.

A run for advanced skiers, to be enjoyed at a controlled pace all the way to the final turns.

A demanding black run reserved for highly experienced skiers

A passage through the rock, followed by one of the most challenging sections of terrain in Espace Alpe d’Huez.

At almost 3,000 m above sea level, Le Tunnel offers a truly unique skiing experience. Ski for around 200 metres through the mountain before emerging back into daylight and taking in the steep slope that lies ahead.

From here, the run is strictly for experienced skiers: an impressive mogul field with gradients of up to 35°. A black run where technical ability, control and confidence are essential.

La Fare,
the iconic black run of Oz–Vaujany

The signature black run of the Oz–Vaujany sector

A long, technical descent through the forest

North-facing terrain that helps preserve snow conditions

Leave the wide-open high-altitude slopes behind and descend into the forests of the Oz–Vaujany sector.

Long, technical and demanding, La Fare is one of the signature runs of Oz–Vaujany. Its black-rated route offers a very different experience from Sarenne and Le Tunnel, with an extended descent winding through the pine trees.

Its north-facing aspect also contributes to its character and helps maintain snow quality. La Fare perfectly illustrates the variety of Espace Alpe d’Huez: within the same connected ski area, you can move from high mountain terrain to tree-lined slopes in just a few runs.
