Alpe d’Huez: A new season, even more sensational!
Every winter, Alpe d’Huez pushes the limits of the mountain experience.
With breathtaking panoramas, legendary sunshine, and ever-evolving infrastructure, the resort continues to earn its place among the world’s leading ski destinations.
This winter, discover the many new features that will make your stay even more unforgettable…
Icons of the field are reinventing themselves
At Alpe d’Huez, the modernization of the ski area continues with a major milestone: the Rif Nel and Poutran gondolas, along with the new cabins of the Pic Blanc cable car, now reveal a new look for these historic lifts.
These facilities, familiar to generations of skiers and mountain lovers, have been redesigned to offer greater comfort, speed, and accessibility for everyone.
These transformations are part of the Altitude 3300 project, which is rethinking mountain mobility around two key goals:
Strengthening the connection between the five resorts of Alpe d’Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany, and Villard-Reculas through smoother links, both in winter and summer.
Making altitude more accessible for all visitors — skiers, walkers, mountain bikers, hikers, and people with reduced mobility.
La Cabane à Sucre: A tasty and unique break on the slopes!
This winter, discover a new and unusual gourmet experience at the foot of the slopes in Alpe d’Huez: La Cabane à Sucre is coming to the resort for the very first time!
Inspired by traditional Québécois sugar shacks, this alpine-style version invites you to enjoy a sweet and playful mountain break right in the heart of the Bergers sector.
On the program:
Make your own honey lollipop, just like maple taffy in Canada – but with an alpine twist!
Toast marshmallows around a cozy brazier
Have fun with family and friends, play wooden games and take a fun photo break
Enjoy hot drinks and other sweet treats
Good news: during the February holidays, La Cabane à Sucre will be open until 7:30 pm on night-skiing evenings, Mondays and Thursdays, from 7 February to 8 March!
Experiences from sunrise to sunset
The First Tracks experience offers a truly privileged moment early in the morning, alongside the ski patrollers, at the heart of their profession and behind the scenes of the resort. Before the slopes open to the public, be among the very first to leave your mark on freshly groomed pistes, perfectly smooth and bathed in the soft light of dawn. Every turn becomes a unique moment, combining the emotion of the mountains with the rare privilege of experiencing the snow in complete tranquillity.
Looking to enjoy the ski area at sunset?
The Sarenne Sunset experience awaits you. Ride up to 3,330 metres above sea level and ski down in the gentle glow of the late afternoon sun to the ski patrollers’ hut. Here, enjoy a warm and convivial break with sharing platters and hot drinks, before setting off on an unforgettable descent along the longest ski run in Europe, as the sun sets over the snow-covered peaks and the first stars appear.
New for this season, discover Sunset 2700, an exclusive experience where the adventure begins with a cable car ride up to Pic Blanc. On arrival, take time for a magical pause in the ice cave, with hot drinks and sharing platters, in a truly timeless atmosphere. Then set off on a unique descent, surrounded by exceptional panoramic views and a breathtaking sunset over the snowy summits.
Snowtubing: 100% sliding fun
Come and enjoy a 100% fun experience on the snow with snowtubing, the perfect activity for both children and adults. Sit comfortably in your inflatable tube and let yourself glide down specially designed runs within the ski area. No skiing skills required – laughter, sliding and pure enjoyment are at the heart of the experience, to be shared with family or friends. Each run becomes a fun and friendly adventure, filled with smiles, excitement and instant thrills.
Take the leap on the Giant Airbag at Rif Nel!
