Alpe d’Huez offers a range of passes designed to support beginner skiers at every stage of their progression. These passes give access to selected lifts and dedicated areas of the ski area, from the free initiation pass to the Beginner pass, up to the Première Glisse, which opens up a wider section of the domain. A gentle progression that allows everyone to ski at their own pace and with confidence.

Useful information before you book

Alpe d’Huez supports beginner skiers at every stage of their progression, with a three-level offer, from their very first steps to exploring the full ski area.

Step 1 — Ski for free: initiation
No pass needed to get started: the resort offers free access to the Grenouille conveyor, the École 1 beginner lift, and the Petit and Grand Rif Nel conveyors. The ideal space for your first steps on skis, in complete serenity and at no cost.

Step 2 — The Beginner pass (paid): progress
Once you’ve mastered the basics, the Beginner pass lets you go further at your own pace: TK Babars, TK Sagnes, Grand TK École 2, Berger and Mouton conveyors, and TK Pour. Suitable lifts to grow in ease and confidence.

Step 3 — Première Glisse: explore the domain
The widest access! This pass opens up the area up to 2,100 m (all drag lifts and chairlifts, except Marmottes 1 and Alpauris), the hybrid lift from Alpe d’Huez, and the Rif Nel gondola. Everything you need to ski freely and explore the great outdoors.

Ski Pass Card Information

A rechargeable ski pass card is required to use your ski pass and access the ski lifts. When placing your order:

If you do not yet have a pass card: add one to your basket for €2.
If you already have a pass card with a number starting with 01-1614: enter the card number in your basket to load your new ski pass onto it.

Good to know: compatibility is only guaranteed with SATA Group rechargeable ski pass cards. Your card is reusable and can be recharged online for future ski passes, in both winter and summer.

Where and how can you collect your ski pass?

Already ordered online?

Several options are available:

24/7 Click & Collect: pick up your ski pass as soon as you arrive from one of the available collection points in Alpe d’Huez, Allemond, Vaujany, Oz 3300, Auris-en-Oisans or Villard-Reculas.
Delivery within mainland France: enter your delivery address when placing your order and allow around 10 days for your ski pass to arrive.
International delivery: delivery times may be longer. We recommend contacting our customer service team before purchasing to make sure your ski pass can arrive before your first day of skiing and, if needed, to find the most suitable solution.

Ski insurance

Ski insurance is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended. In the event of an accident on the slopes, search and rescue costs or medical repatriation expenses may be your responsibility if you do not have suitable insurance coverage. With Assur’Glisse, you can add insurance directly to your day or multi-day ski pass:
